• Holy sequencing

It's been more than 20 years ago now that I've been living in Berlin. And while I seldom look or go back physically, maybe for a short visit now and then, I often do so in my mind. Especially, when listening to music from the Golden Age of EM, where many of the artists being in synthesized sounds "went" to its School. There are still several artists from the old guard out there, some still producing new music. But many of the space ambient style music nowadays comes from a younger folks. And their take on Berlin style sounds, while surely referencing the ideas of the past, are fresh and current and also timeless. Join me for a mental visit to Berlin with great music by NGC 224 (Mystic Forests), Novaexperiment (Quantum Pulse), Craig Padilla & Marvin Allen (Unfolding Skies), Joerg Dankert (Back to Berlin), Paul Ellis (Room Of The Lost One), IcingWolf (Crossroads), Ivan Black (Black 3), Small Chief (Zero Movement).

Many things worth listening to

Episode 486

Finding your own way isn't really easy, is it? And it's sometimes not the most comfortable thing to do, as you have to think about yourself in very much detail. Who you are. What you want. Why you are here. And where you are going. Really fundamental things to find out to define yourself and your way forward. The outcome may be a surprise to yourself. But aside from those global questions, finding your own way is also true for when you live your desires. Expressing yourself with music might be one way to go, and it does not have to be a musical career you're after. One way to share your passion is to go public. Netlabels serve a great purpose nowadays in presenting a fantastic broadness of musical styles, a platform for those who want to give with no restrictions imposed. Some of those we have tonight, picked from the vast amount of releases from the Netlabel day 2019. Enjoy the music by Curious Inversions (Squares of Coloured Circles), Unmori (Monumental: Netlabel Day 2019), Orgonon Sound Machine (Radiation Overload), Flextronic (Ethnostep 9), Shadermader (Sacrosanct Remixes Vol. 1), Rose (Mental Flooding).
